Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Fizziwig's Egg Nog

Today's countdown tag features an advertisement for Fizzziwig's Old Fashioned Triple Strength Egg Nog.  I have never had the opportunity to try Egg Nog but this sounds the perfect pick me up after a stressful day.

I have two more masks from the Advent bags to share with you.  These have a Scandinavian design in red and white.

The elves are back, there was a slight delay in communications but we are back on track.  It seems that they have all been hanging about and resting up after their trip from the North Pole.

Daisy had a surprize gift, a new necklace.  Doesn't she look pretty?

Whilst Louis and Coco have been hanging around on their new swing. I wonder how long it took the children to spot them up there, hanging from the light fitting?

Back tomorrow, have a great day.

    1. Yes, Egg Nog is a bit of a mystery here. It sounds so innocent but I understand that it has quite a lot of alcohol in it, hic!

It took my niece's little daughter almost an hour to spot the elves on their flying trapeze. She is only just four, so the perfect age to believe in all of the magic of Christmas.

    1. What a wonderful word, I do not think I have seen zhuzhed-up written down before, doesn't it look fabulous - zhuzhed.

Your Advent Countdown is proving very popular. Perhaps next year you could consider marketing them on Etsy or Not on the Market?

I had missed the elves, but we shall have visits from them for the next couple of days.
