Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Something New for the Girls

I have a bit of a treat for Daisy, Coco, Rowena and Mistletoe - our four girl elves.  I have had my knitting needles out and made them all a new outfit for Christmas.

Here we have Mistletoe is modeling her new outfit, she is surronded by the other skits and cardigans.

You may be able to see better from this angle.  The skirt pattern is by Leeana Gardiner. each skirt is made in one piece in three colours of Doubke Knit.  Both the Wrap Around Cardigan and the Cap Sleeve Cardigan are designed by Helen Cox and are available from Ravelry.

You may have spotted Daisy wearing her new outfit earlier today.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  1. These are beautiful, made for twirling - my favourite! xx

    1. I know, they are just like Whirling Dervishes. When I was a little girl I would spin and spin and spin if I had a skirt like this.
