Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Hot Chocolate for Cold Days

It is pretty cold here recently and a hot chocolate sounds good to me, does any one else fancy a nice mug of hot chocolate?  All of these suggestions from my gorgeous Advent Countdown Tag Book, which was made by my lovely friend Lisette, aka Mrs Beez, sound wonderful and I want to try them all.

One of my nieces has taken to calling her face masks face warmers, rather appropriate at the moment.  Today's mask has a poinsettia motif in red, sage green and gold.

I know you only drop by to see what our elf helpers have been up to, so let's take a peek.

Daisy has been rushed off her feet and has treated herself to a takeaway, consisting of a hotdog and cola.

What on earth was going on in this household last night?  Coco appears to have tapped Louis to the cupboard door.

The question is, did she play an unkind trick on our Louis, or did Louis need restraining?  What do you think?

I want to give a shout out to my dear friend Carol, who may be known to you as The Crafty Stamper. Carol is very poorly at the moment and I want to let her know how much we miss her and I wish a very speedy recovery. Please get well soon Carol, we are all thinking of you.

I shall be back again this afternoon with an extra post.
