Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Christmas Cheer

Where are the days going? The 17th already and I am nowhere near ready for the big day, so much I still need to do. Today our Christmas tag from the Advent Countdown book is advertising Santa's Original Christmas Cheer. It is the perfect antidote to all of the bar humbug.

A quick peek at the face masks from the Advent bags.  The fabric today has a holly design on a red background wih gold highlights.

Daisy the Elf was the first to arrive last night, she seems to be a little concerned with the hamster's food.

The hamster eats hamster mix but she also loves mealworms as well as cheese, chicken and hard boiled eggs as the occasional treat.

Earlier in the day Daisy snuck off to the girls room to watch their favourite film, 'It's a Bugs Life' with them - it sounds a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

Coco and Louis spent time apart last night. Louise decided to float around in the bathroom sink on his flamingo inflatable.

He certainly looks relaxed, doesn't?

Ha ha, look at his shades and I see that he is he is taking no chances, he is wearing a life jacket.

Coco headed for the kitchen to go fishing ......

I thought that you might like a close up of some of her equipment.  Her rod and hook, the bucket with her catch and her coffee flask.

Her fabulous camp fire and her cooking fork.

Have a good day

  1. If it helps, I'm not anywhere near ready either! Not even got my tree up yet. Loving today's antics not sure which is my favourite, Louis lounging on his flamingo with his super cool, super cute sun glasses or Coco cooking her fish! However, the stars of the show are definitely those masks. That fabric is wonderful, I'd have it all ways - dress, skirt, shirt, bag !!! xxx

    1. Hi

I just adore all of the elf stuff and cannot wait for them to arrive each year. I love those cool dude singlasses and what about the tiny flask and campfire?

You may have noticed that I am running late with my posts today but all will become clear as to why.
