Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Christmas Cookie Scent

Umm, you can just smell the aroma of Christmas cookie, totally mouth watering - Day 8, the Scent of Christmas Cookies.

Today the face masks from the Advent bags are ginger bread men and candy canes.

I know you are only here to check out what our elves were up to last night.  Daisy has a joke for you .....

Daisy is dressed up warm today to go to the park and feed the ducks.  (I am not sure what that net is for - although I have my suspicions!)

It looks like Louis and Coco are getting the children organised with their letters for Santa.

They have bought paper, stickers and pencils and then plan to deliver the letters in their little red car.

I wonder how long they will be gone?

  1. How serendipitous that your gingerbread and candycane mask appeared on the same say As Christmas cookie scent! Lovely to see the little ducks again, it will take them a while to get through that bread! I used to love a "toy" writing set when I was little - I seem to think they came with pretend stamps that you had to cut out and stick with glue! I expect today's versions are far superior. X

    1. Oh me too, and you are quite right about the stamps - we had a bottle of gum which a red rubber nozzle to squidge the gum around. As I got older, aunt's would give me grown up stationery sets for my birthday and my grandmother once gave me a leather writing case ..... which I still have, somewhere.

I suspect all that bread is to slow the ducks down and make them easier to catch! Instant stuffing, opps.
