Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

The Wicked Queen from Snow White

Hi, welcome back.

This morning I posted a card featuring Snow White, so I thought it appropriate this afternoon to share with you another character from the same story.  In my opinion she is far too glamorous to be a wicked witch or queen, but it just goes to show that you cannot judge anyone just by looking at them!

This evil step-mother is also from Saturated Canary and is called The Queen.

I have coloured her with Promarkers and added some Glossy Accents to the apple and the jewels in her crown.  I then mounted the image on silver mirri card. The papers are from a paper stack by Docraft's Papermaina designed by Lucy Cromwell.

Thank you for coming by, it's so nice to read your comments.

  1. Hi Dionne
Thank you for showcasing another gorgeous card! Yeah, the wicked queen/witch looks glamorous but that's because she entered 21st century and she follows the fashion. To keep up to date she buys all the fashion magazines, probably from one of the giant supermarkets like Tesco, where is also buys her apples too. Again you coloured in the image very well and I love that little apple embellishment.
