Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Sleeping Beauty

Good morning and welcome.

It seems I have made it, today is the last day of of my personal challenge to post a card every day for the duration of the current Crafty Boots Challenges, the theme of which is Children's Stories or Nursery Rhymes.  No one is more surprized than me!

I had a bit of an insane last minute sprint in the early hours of this morning and I actually have four cards and a tag to share with you this morning.  The first of these is Sleeping Beauty.

This fabulous couple are from Teddy Bo & Co and the image is called Sleeping Bea-uty.

After colouring the image with Promarkers I covered a shaped card from Craftwork Card with paper from a Forever Friends stack and mounted the image with silver mirri and more paper from the stack.  I then added a sentiment, a bow and some flat backed gems.

I will be back in a little will with a bit of a surprize.
