Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Magical Fairy

Good morning and welcome to day four of my personal challenge to post a card every day for the duration of the current Crafty Boots Challenges, the theme of which is inspired by Children's Stories.

Now, what Fairy Tale is complete without a fairy, and here is mine, a vision in mauve and purple! Many of the really good children's stories have a fairy, remember Flora, Fauna and Merrywhether in Sleeping Beauty, Pinoccio's Fairy with Turquoise Hair and Tinkerbell in Peter Pan.

This little lady is Whispy from Saturated Canary, isn't she a sweetie?

As always, I coloured this image wih Promarkers and then mounted it on silver mirri card an some purple glitter card.  The papers came from my favourite paper stack from Docraft's Papermaina by Lucy Cromwell;  The decorative metal corner came from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, which I got from the Crafty Boots on-line store.

Many thanks to everyone for showing their continued support, I love reading all of your comments.

See you tomorrow.
