Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Rapunzel

The weekend is almost here and my daily challenge is almost over.

This is day 12 of my personal challenge to post a card every day for the duration of the current Crafty Boots Challenges, the theme of which is Children's Stories or Nursery Rhymes.

I have taken my inspiration today from the Fairy Story about Rapunzel.

This Rapunzel is from Saturated Canary.  Fancy having to brush all that hair every day!

I coloured this image with Promarkers and mounted it on some silver mirri and I created my own tower.  The butterfly dies are memory Box and the florishes are Marianne Creatable Dies and Spellbinder.  The rose buds are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope to be back this afternoon with another card.

  1. Hi Dionne
Another beautiful card with another very well known character. Who could miss her long beautiful locks. Probably nightmare to brush everyday, never mind the amount of shampoo and water she has to get through to keep it in tip top condition but she lives in a fairy tale after all so it does not really matter. Love the way you coloured her in! Especially those hair of hers. Also loving that part of that castle, all your die cuts and those little roses.
Now I am off but I will be back. It seem there is another card coming soon and I do not want to miss it.
Dionne, you are doing absolutely amazingly!!
