Cross Stitch, knitting, crochet, dressmaking, card making, scrapbook and wedding stationery.
Welcome
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

The White Rabbit
Good morning
Day seven of my personal challenge to post a card every day for the duration of the current Crafty Boots Challenges, the theme of which is inspired by Children's Stories.
I cannot believe that a week has gone by already, it's true, time really does fly when you are having fun.
And talking about time flying, I think most people associate this character with time. He is of course, the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
I have cheated a little with this card because I made a very similar card earlier this year in brown. However, today I decided to make it in purple. (Between the two of us, I was going to make it in red but I could not find a red Wink of Stella pen anywhere, do they make one?)
I coloured selected parts of this IndigoBlu stamp with my purple Wink of Stella pen and mounted it on silver mirri and purple glitter card. I added 4 purple flat backed gems to finish it off.
Enjoy what is left of the weekend.

Hi Dionne
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that it has been a week already as well. I think time grew some extra pair of wings! Wonderful card! I love that rabbit. He looks great in purple and so does the rest of your card!

Love this with the purple - a really refreshing change.
