Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Rock-a-bye Baby

Welcome back to my blog

Owww, this is exciting and something of a milestone for me, my second post of the day.  I hope I am not outstaying my welcome.

This afternoon's card is inspired by the nursery rhyme Rock-a-bye Baby.

Rock-a-bye baby, on the treetops,
When the wind blows, the cradle will rock,
When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall,
And down will come baby, cradle and all.

My cradle image comes from Teddybo & Co and is called 'Rock a Bye Baby'

I coloured the image with Promarkers and mounted it and, the blue paper, on silver mirri card.  I added a few gems and some ribbon from my stash.  The sentiment is from Kanban.

Thank you for dropping by.

  1. Hi Dionne
Outstaying your welcome!? On your own blog, is that even possible?(LOL). I have to say you are really going for gold with your card making. You are spoiling us with 2 posts in one day. Another beautiful card with amazingly coloured in image and very cute papers. I love it.
