Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Cinderella

Good morning

It's the weekend at last, I hope you had a great week.  Day six of my personal challenge to post a card every day for the duration of the current Crafty Boots Challenges, the theme of which is inspired by Children's Stories.

I have chosen the story of Cinderella for my inspiration today.

This gorgeous stamp is from Saturated Canary and is called Cinders.

I have coloured her with a combination of Promarkers and a clear Wink of Stella pen, then I mounted the image on silver mirri card.  The papers are from a paper stack by Docraft's Papermaina designed by Lucy Cromwell.  The flowers and tiny silver bells are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Hi Dionne
oh WOW another super gorgeous card! You are doing incredibly well making so many fantastic cards. I hope you have not exhausted yourself yet!
I love the purple colour scheme with splashes of other colours, gorgeous image beautifully coloured in and also loving your flower arrangement.
Also thanks for asking how I am doing. When it comes to my health it is a disaster but everything else seems fine. I hope you are OK.
