Cross Stitch, knitting, crochet, dressmaking, card making, scrapbook and wedding stationery.
Welcome
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Happy Anniversary
Friday at last, it is almost the weekend!
A few days ago it was my BFFs wedding anniversary. I am not saying how many years but it is a few now, but it feels like yesterday. It is true time does fly. Here is the card I made for her and her gorgeous hubby.
The image is from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and is called Ava and Deacon Love Word. I coloured it with Promarkers and mounted it on silver mirri card and some fabulous papers from a Docraft Papermania stack designed by Lucy Cromwell, which I bought some time ago but have been saving for that special occasion, and some fabulous purple glitter card made by Dovecraft.
I then added a bow and some cherry blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts. The butterfly charm also came from WOC.
I also added a little Glossy Accents to the hearts, just to make them stand out a little and to add some texture to the card.
Have a great weekend.
Dionne
