Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Red Riding Hood II

Whohoo!  The weekend starts here.

This afternoons card is another Little Red Riding Hood.  This sweet little image is called Little Red and comes from Mo's Digital Pencil, isn't she cute?

After coloring Red with my Promarkers I added a touch of Glossy Accents to the pocket on her cape.  I them mounted the image on some mirri card and some black glitter card.  The backing card is red polka dot mirri card.  I wrapped some butter muslin around the roses, which came from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope you have a terrific weekend.  I will be back with another card tomorrow morning.

  1. Hi Dionne
Red Ridding Hod the sequel (LOL). Absolutely gorgeous! Loving the colour palette, especially the striking red colour. That miri card gives it a great texture, great use of muslin too. That little lady-bird embellishment is super cute. Love the stitching too. It makes me wish my sewing machine was not broken :(

  3. Every day I look forward to seeing which book you've chosen. Those roses with the muslin, that ladybird and the lovely spotted mirri are fabulous. This might be my favourite!
