Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Seven Swans a Swimming

I have a few more Christmas cards to share with you today. All of my cards today are from the Hunkydory Adorable Scorable kit called 'Contemporary Christmas'.

I have been experimenting with some of my dies and in these photos you can see few of the snowflake dies I have recently acquired.  I think these and the fir trees dies are my favourites.

This card is made from one of the backing sheets, I just added a sentiment from my stash and a couple of these new snowflakes.

Although the 3 images on this card are separate, I kept them flat to the card to make them easier for posting.  Opposite the swans there two more of the new snowflake dies and, finally, a sentiment from my stash.

All of the elements from this card are from the kit.

I have raised up the imagine in this card with 3D spacer foam.  I then added washi tape, Card Candi and bakers twine.

I have a surprize today.  The elves who visit my other niece have managed to get through the COVID quarantine procedures and they came bearing gifts.  The family are starting to recover and Daisy and Danny were allowed through last night.

The elves say that they "were sneaky, while you were sleepy.  Go and check your bed, something festive to rest your head."

Oh look, special duvet cover and a matching pillow case.  Someone is a very lucky girl.

Nice to see you back Daisy and Danny.

    1. Thank you Faith, I feel a bit of a fraud using pre-coloured toppers but it is the only way I can make the number of Christmas cards I get through - although sadly the numbers are getting less and less these days.

      Take care.

    1. Oh Carol, not another one. I am so very sorry for your loss

Thank you for all of your encouragement. I confess, I may not need to colour them but I am still struggling to come up with slightly different designs. I guess I get bored making each card the same!

  3. The snowflakes with those swan images are just perfect. Those elves have been jolly generous, any chance I could borrow them to revamp my bedding? xxx

    1. Thank you for your lovely comments Mrs Beez. I am really pleased with the white snowflake dies, they are very pretty.

If my niece is loaning out her elves for chores, then I am having first dibs!
