Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Mistletoe Kisses

Just a couple of cards to share with you today, I have used elements from the Hunkydory Adorable Scorable kit called 'Contemporary Christmas' to make both cards.

The first one is that fold I mentioned the other day.

I added a couple of die cut Christmas tree ornaments I think that at least one of them is by Memory Box.  I also added a sentiment from my stash, everything else is from the Hunkydory kit.

I made a simple stepper card for the next card.  The two mistletoe images are and the backing card are from the kit and I added some ribbon and a sentiment from my stash.

I am not sure what happened to the elves yesterday, possibly the photos got help up somewhere on the internet.  Anyway, they are back tonight and it seems Daisy and Danny are training up an apprentice.  Her name is Dot.

It looks very much like the elves had a little party last night, they even have an elf sized pinata and a tiny pizza oven.

Oh dear, one of the elves is in a wheelchair, I hope they are OK.

    1. The Mistletoe cards are much nicer in real life, I really messed up these photo's. Thank you for being so nice about it.

You be careful with all this bad weather, try to stay inside if you can and keep warm.

  3. How lovely to see mistletoe cards and such gorgeous ones too. You rarely see cards with mistletoe on that don't have romantic associations so great to see these. It's such an unusual and magical plant, I love it and I love these cards. And yay! We have elves and hello Dot. I can't believe there is an elf sized pinata, that is adorable.xxx

    1. The mistletoe and holly berries look fabulous together, such a wonderful splash of colour.

Yes the elves are back, there was obviously an internet glich the night before. Isn't Dot sweet? She seems a bit small to be sent out working, they get them young at the North Pole!
