Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Little Robin Red Breast

Christmas Eve tomorrow, a busy day for most of us, so I am making this my final post featuring my Christmas cards and I have saved the best - well, at least my favourite, until last.  This is the card I sent to my other half. Anyone who knows him will know hat he has a real soft spot for robins.

All of my Christmas cards this year have been made from Hunkydory Crafts kits, great for making cards in a hurry.  All you need is a little imagination, glue and a few bits from your crafty stash.   For instance, all I added to this first card was a triple bow in gold organza ribbon and some Flower Soft Polar White to make the fake snow on the wall.

Time to see what Daisy and Danny have been up to the last three days.

I wonder what treat will be mustered up using magic dust and eggs?

It's getting closer to Christmas, not many nights to go now.  What did our little elves get up to the following night?

Ah, they have been hanging fairy lights, aren't they pretty?

Ow, they are all over the house.

Did you think I had forgotten about what you get with an elf, some magic dust and eggs?

Well, you get a surprize chocolate egg, of course.

Louis and Coco are back, they have been away for a long time, it is so nice to have them back.

Looks like they are trying their hand at hairdressing. Are any of the toys are safe when they are around?

These may be the last of my cards for this year but I still have other things I have been saving up to share with you. Don't go too far.

I hope you all have a very happy Christmas.

    1. Thank you Carol, it felt quite the marathon writing all of thse posts but we all made it to the end. Now come all of the cardigan posts!

Apparently Coco and Louis have been playing board games and eating sweets for the past couple of weeks.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Find time to put your feet up.

  2. I love the card, that bow is a stunning finishing touch. How magical to wake up and find all those extra lights. The Ki der egg is another inspired idea.Nice to see Louis and Coco back although I'm not sure I'll be calling on them to do my hair! xxx

    1. Thank you Lisette. I got a little frustrated with the bow, it is actually a triple bow but it just would not open up, so no matter I did, it looked like a double.

So, you do not fancy having green hair this Christmas? It might be all the rage!

Back tomorrow for my Christmas Eve post.
