Three Little Kittens have Lost their Mittens. No problem, I'll just make them some more.
I decided to use up some oddments of wool making some mittens for my niece.
All three designs are based on the same Bitstobuy double knitting pattern called 'Princess Mittens.
The first pair were made in a yarn with sparkly thread running through it.
The next two pairs were made with a colour changing yarn.
I added some eyes to this final pair, I thought she might find them entertaining.
It is pretty cold at the moment, I hope she is wearing them to keep her hands warm.

Thank you Carol. I usually have enough yarn left over to make either a bobble hat or some mittens. However, these were my first attempt at mittens.

Just struck me I remember tying them together and threading them through coat sleeves so they didn't get lost lol

My mum did that with my mittens when I was small, I can still remember fighting to get my coat on with them down the sleeves.

ReplyDeleteI have only recently started to use the colour changing yarns, I never use to like them much but now I am an addict!
DeleteThe eyes on those mittens seemed a must because the multi coloured yarn reminded me of reptilian skin. Lol.
