Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.


I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Red Sparkles Knitted Cardigan

I have a rather Christmassy sort of cardigan to share with you today.  

I made this fabulous red cardie for my five year old niece, she just adored all of the sparkle.  The yarn has a sparkly thread running through it - unfortunately it does not show up very well in the photographs, however I have done my best with the close-up.  It is made in King Cole Glitz double knit.  The pattern is my old favourite Stylecraft pattern 4909.




Not long to the big day now and I have a lot yo do, so see you tomorrow.

    Love this - I can see the sparkle, it's fabulously festive and I would definitely have this in my wardrobe if there was a me sized version! Xx

      I am not offering, becuase I do not do big people knitting, but you could have one of these in your wardrobe, or you could have one in white or in saphire or one in navy - owww the navy, wonderful with the sparkle. It comes in something like 7 colours, you could have one for every day of the week. Your wildest dreams come true.

    I just wish I could show you what it really looks like, the sparkle is amazing and not at all scratchy. I don't know how they do it. That yarn is enough to make you get your knitting needles back out.
