Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Love on the Rocks UK - Rock Painting

When you have been out and about recently, have you come across any painted stones?  Rock painting has become quite the craze where we live and back in the summer my other half found this stone 'hidden' on top of a pillar box, quite close to where we live.  Our first, and only, find ... so far.

Unfortunately, the artwork on this stone had become a little damaged and we could not make out the picture.

On the reverse of the stone were instructions to post a photograph of our find on the Facebook page for 'Love on the rocks uk (Hiding Rocks ~ Making Smiles)'.

There was also a note that it was painted by MAH in 16 January 2021. Clearly it had been traveling some time, no wonder it was a bit battered.  We re-hide it a sent it on it's way again.

    1. I bought some stones, thinking that I would have a go but I bought the wrong type of rocks. Mind you, I am no artist and if you look at that Facebook page you will see that they are very talented people - puts me off trying again.

    3. If I ever run out of knitting idea, I may have another go. In the meantime I still have a bag full of the wrong rocks.
