Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Christmas Jumper

I may be coming towards the end of the Christmas cards I have been sharing with you this year but I still have a huge amount of knitted items to share with you - so don't say I did not warn you about all the future knitting posts.

I realise that from the title of this post you could be forgiven if you were expecting to see a chunky jumper with a picture of snowmen or Santa on the front.  But no, what I have for you is a cardigan I have made for one of my nieces as a Christmas present.  (I am delighted because I have actually found a member of my family who actually likes my knitted cardigans and jumpers!)

This was made with King Cole Cherish Double Knit and the pattern is an old Sidar one which I bought on Ebay from Busy Fingers.

Here is the pattern in close-up.

Be back in the morning with more Christmas cards.

  2. This is beautiful, such an intricate and pretty design, I really don't know how you do it! Live the colour too - I long for a jumper this colour but the shades in the shops are usually just too vivid. xxx

    1. The colour is a soft lemon crossed with custard, quite attractive but very differnt from anything I have made for her in the past, I hope she likes it.
