Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Snowmen and Stags

Snowmen and Stags, two favourite themes of the Christmas card industry - and who am I to shun popular demand.  Here I am again with my Hunkydory pre-coloured toppers and matching backing cards.  They are a great idea when you are in a hurry or have a lot of cards to make.

In the kit they give you a few ideas on layout and design, this is one of them and a new fold for me.

I added some Flower Soft Polar White to this cards, although I am afraid it does not show in these photographs.

One of the Hunkydory sets I bought for this year gave you two of each image, so you are not seeing double with these cards.

I rather liked how this card turned out; so I made a second identical one.

See, two!

And I made two of this design as well.

Before we go off to see what those little elves have been up to today, I want to share with you the Christmas card I recieve from fellow crafter and talented card maker Carol (AKA The Crafty Stamper).  If you have a few minutes I urge you to check out her blog.

Shall we see what those naughty elves were up to a couple of nights ago?  Let's pop over to visit Daisy and Danny first.  Oh my, someone left the hair clippers out and they have found them ....

and they have found daddy asleep on the sofa, oh no!

Oh, look what they did to him.

Let's hope that Louise and Coco were better behaved.

They have organised a game for after school.

Ha ha, that was fun.

More tomorrow.

    1. Thank you Carol.

Daisy and Danny are the naughtiest elves I have ever come across, so bad. Luckily daddy was able to cut his hair even closer to get rid or the writing. Just as well as he had to go to work the next day.

    1. Me too, I do not think I have ever done the big fold before but these cards are perfect for them because they have an image printed at one end.

    1. Thank you Mrs Beez, these are some of my favourites too.

Daisy and Danny have been so bad this year, I am sure they are on Santa's Naughty List. Louise and Coco have to be better behaved because the little girl gets upset if they are naughty.
