Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

The Swimsuit Round

Ladies and gentlemen, next we have the swimsuit round.  This fetching one piece is available in a variety of colours.  The cross-over straps are fastened at the back by two small buttons.

Our model can be see here in our royal blue costume ...

No self respecting elf would be seen without her hat.  Today's model is in snow white with three red jingle bells.

It is also available in white.

I know, this is very tongue in cheek, but who could take these swimsuits very seriously.  Worn on top of a full set of elf clothes, including stripy tights and black boots.

It looks like Daisy has found a fun use for her swim suit!

Have you ever been bowling in your bathing suit?

    1. Thank you.

I cannot be sure whether I remember this or if it is a story told to me by someone else. I seem to have a memory of me wearing a knitted one piece when I was very young and, when I went into the sea and it got wet, it stretched right down to my knees, leaving me only wearing the straps. Before going into the sea I hated the horrid thing and after this event, I was never subjected to the indignity of wearing it again!

Like I said, I am not sure if it was me or just something I heard about. 😁

    1. As a child I distinctly remember that none of the adults took their clothes off on the beach, they sat in deck chairs fully dressed - my grandfather even wore his suit. I also remember an aunt being stung by a wasp and she slipped a slice of cucumber down her stocking onto the sting, who would wear stockings on the beach these days?

      Funny how times change.
