Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.


I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Party Time!

Over the past year I have knitted quite a lot of Santa style hats for the Advent Boxes I have put together for my family this year, some of which you have already seen.  But in case you missed them, here are a few more.


One of my nieces got Santa hats in her Advent Box yesterday and so her daughter's toys had a party last night to celebrate the return of their elves.




Party on .....

It seems that Daisy the Elf was tired out from her trip to take the letters to Santa and is having a little nap today ..


Shhhhh!

      Poor Daisy the Elf, totally worn out after her trip to the North Pole. (Or perhaps mum just fancied a quiet day!)

      I think the toys at my other niece's house are getting into the Christmas spirit. I hope they do not peek too early.

    Love seeing all the hats together, what a fabulous selection. That looks like some party! Great to see them all dressed up, the elephant in the ear muffs is adorable. Love the cute sleeping bag too. X

      These are only a fraction of the hats I have knitted in the past 12 months, I lost count of how many I made.
