Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Unicorn Sparkle

Back again, second post of the day, with some more of the cards I have made this year using Hunkydory toppers and matching papers. I think this set may prove quite popular with my young nieces.

I added a few bits of sparkle from my crafty stash to complete the cards.

All of the papers in this set have a very high sheen and I found it very hard to photograph them without either glare or the colour being washed out and ruining the image, I do apologise.

Daisy the Elf had a very busy night .....

  1. Those elves do make me laugh. I love how they are sitting there with a pile of paper cuttings. Pretty impressive snowflakes too. Love the cards, the unicorn is gorgeous but it's the robin that's stolen my heart. Love how you've used the ribbon on all of them but the last one is very clever xxx

    1. That little robin seems to hop from card to card, I agree he is super cute. So pleased that you spotted my ribbon Christmas tree, thank you.

Those snowflakes must have taken ages. Do you think it would be nice to be 5 or 6 again and be doing these things for the first time?

    1. Thank you Carol.

Isn't it lovely to see Christmas through the eyes of children, that is the best part of Christmas for me?
