Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Heather Cardigan

My blog had somethng of a meltdown yesterday and published all of my scheduled Christmas card posts in one day, perhaps it was something of a Friday the 13th glitch.  So, until I have time to retrieve the rest of my Christmas cards from my camera. here is one of the cardigans I have knitted as a Christmas present.

My dreadful photographic skills do not do this pretty little cardigan justice, this lovely heather coloured yarn is so much prettier than it looks here ... as indeed is the pattern.

This is another of the patterns I recently bought from the internet - Knitting Pattern 314.

It's time to check in on what Daisy has been up to ...

    3. When I have to un-pick something, I have this obsession that I cannot move until that little pile of wool has been knitted back into whatever I am making - it was the same when I was cross-stitching.

I am sorry about the cough, just a few more days. Hang in there.

  2. This is so pretty and delicate and another one for me! Have you been watching Kirsty's Handmade Christmas? I seriously think you should get yourself on there next year. Your knitting is more than a match for any of the other people who have been on! X

    1. Opps, I have missed out there. I have watched it in the past but thought that they were all repeats now, so had not bothered watching.

I love the way the colours change in this yarn.
