Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

The Big Sleepover

Second post today. What with trying to share with you the Christmas cards I have been making and also show you the bits I have been making for my niece's elf themed Advent Boxes, I don't think my blog does not know what has hit it!

Today our little elves are getting ready for a sleepover and, fresh from the Advent boxes, they all have their new all in one sleep suits to wear.

My girl elf knitting patterns are by Helen Cox and are available from Ravelry.

Rowena has been trying out her sleep suit, what do you think?

I think she also likes her new doll .....

    1. So sorry to hear that you are still under the weather Carol, it is good of you to keep up with blog surfing when you feel like this.

Mind you, I am hearing of more and more people who seem to be coming down with something, just what they need for Christmas!

Stay warm and keep up the fluids.

  2. Oh what fun! How on earth do you come up with all these wonderful ideas? And then to knit them so beautifully! I would imagine these suits were fiddly to do. You will pleased to know that I've never taken to wearing a onesie! They look great, and I love them on other people, or elves, but thought of wearing one makes me feel a bit claustrophobic! X

    1. Ha ha, I know exactly what you mean. I can't even wear a cardigan because they feel like a straight jacket to me - I feel like I cannot breath.

On the other hand, I could see you in a onesie!

Most of the idea aren't really mine, the lady who designs the patterns come up with the ideas, I just recreate them. But you are right this is a dead fiddly pattern and each onesie takes me two days to make.
