Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Bauble Christmas Cards

Here are some more of the cards I have made this year using Hunkydory toppers and matching papers.  I love all of the glitz and sparkle in this set ... oh and all that fabulous purple and blue!  Unfortunately the papers in this set have a very high sheen, which makes for a lovely card, but it is very difficult to photograph because the light reflects in the papers.

The trouble with keeping you up to date with the antics of the elves from three separate families is keeping up with the sharing. First today we have Arlen and Rowena, the pair of them seem to be getting up to all sorts of mischief - both indoors and out!

I just adore Rowena's tiny teddy bear.

Oh, and just at her gorgeous skirt, wow!

Ha ha, this Rudolph basket has a familiar look about it.

Looks like the reindeer strike is over, Arlen and Rowena seem to have tricked one of them into pulling their toboggan around yesterday - it must be hard work without snow.

Oh dear, naughty Arlan.  Oww, that could get painful!

Now it's the turn of Daisy the elf ..

Whilst everyone else has gone off on a bus trip yesterday, Daisy went tobogganing around the school room ... whilst the cats away the elf will play.

  1. Wow those cards are gorgeous. The colours are so rich and sumptuous and your layouts are superb. AS for those elves! I love her skirt and the teddy and they are adorable out in the sleigh. I'm kicking myself about that reindeer storage bag. I had in my basket and then waited for the vase to come into stock, by which time the bag had gone 🙁x

    1. That's always the way. One of my sisters has a number of life 'rules'. The first one relates to when we did a lot of cross stitching - life is too short to spend it unpicking, if you go wrong leave it, on one else knows what the pattern looks like. The other rule is one which has served me well over the years - if you like something, buy it when you see it, because when you go back you can bet it will be gone!

I wish I could claim that I made that fabulous skirt, but I didn't (the mum of some one we both know made it - in fact Arlen and Rowena are her elves).
