Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Ziggy Love

It is Friday already and the weekend is almost upon us.

I am back today with a quick reminder about the current Crafty Boots 'Use a Stamp' Challenge and to keep a bit of a promise.  I recently mentioned to a friend that I had purchased a zebra digi stamp some time ago and had never used it.  After a bit of encouragement from my friend I said that I would dig it out and use it.

This lovely zebra image is called 'Ziggy Love' from TeddyBo & Co and the pen of the talented  Gale Cook.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then mounted it on silver mirri card and some red polka dot papers.  The fetching zebra skin patterned paper and the zebra paper are both from an old Joanna Sheen/Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection CD.

Have a great weekend.

    1. Thank you. I have always liked black and red together - takes me back ... in the 70s I had a long black and white skirt that was covered in red flowers. I loved that my skirt but my grandmother was rather scandalized by it because polite young ladies never wore black and red together!!

      Have a peaceful Sunday.
