Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Tiny Tiddler

Today I want to share a card with you featuring another of my rubber stamps.  I am really enjoying this Crafty Boots challenge because it has reminded me about the boxes and boxes of rubber stamps that I own.  I really should make the effort to use them more often and stop turning to my favourite digi stamp artists all of the time.

This stamp is not as old as the one I used for Monday's design.  It is from Funky Kits and is called Tiny Tiddler, it is one of their Sugar Nellie range.

I coloured the stamp with my trusty Promarkers and then die cut both it, and the slightly larger card from gold mirri, using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 17 dies.

The swirling backing paper is from a Timeless Textures paper stack.  The gold strips were cut from gold mirri and I added the blue raffia, flat back gems and shells came from my stash.

Don't forget to add your project to this Crafty Boots Challenge.

Good luck.

    1. Thank you Lisette. I don't do fancy mats very often but it seemed to work with this image.

    1. I started buying wood mounted rubber stamps over thirty years ago, I still have them all carefully packed away. Digi stamps are more convenient but it is nice to return to where I started and apply the new techniques.
