Like many of us, I got into card making by buying kit cards but since I joined the Crafty Boots Design Team I have made my own toppers by either buying digi images or stamping them and colouring them. Pushed for time this year I thought would see what kit cards are on offer these days.
I bought three packs of 24 Christmas cards from Hunkydory ((I cannot find the actual pack on their website, the nearest I can get is their Luxury Christmas Card Making Kit.)
Kit Cards have really imprved since the last time I tried them, these packs contained everything you need to make the cards - printed card, main image, 2 sentiments, 2 tags, 2 decorative strips, an handmade by label, foam spacers and envelopes. There are two copies of each design in a pack and I was very surprized at the number of very different layouts you can get out of 7 elements.
I will not bore you with every single card I made but I thought that I would share a few of them with you over the next few days.
What a fabulous set of cards, you have really showcased the kit to great effect. Can't decide which is my favourite. There's something beautifully peaceful about the deer, but then the robins are such a cute couple and the snowman is so adorable with the candy cane trim. This is why I make identical cards ๐๐๐x
ReplyDeleteI know, I became obsessed with making them all differnt. You can guess who got the Robin card - I had completely missed that it says 'From our Home to Yours'. LOL

Thank you, they were fun to make and there were none of those pressures I usually feel trying to get it all done in time. I am definitely going to buy kit cards again.
