Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.


I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Advent Countdown - Day 12

Good morning.  Yesterday started out such a good day, I finished making my Christmas cards.  The feeling of euphoria was short lived unfortunately, as I started to write in my cards I quickly realise that I had not made enough!  Talk about crash and burn.

On a much cheerier subject, we have the article of clothing for my besties Mary Jane's Tearoom teddy bears from today's Advent Calender package.


Today we have a Nordic styled jumper, it  is made in super soft 4 ply cotton.  The design comes from Mary Jane's Tearoom Anika Rabbit pattern, which is available from Ravelry.  Now I wonder which outfit this goes with?

Oh look, I have more photographs of naughty Elvin the Elf wearing his Advent hats ....... although he isn't being naughty today!

    The little jumper is gorgeous and beautiful Nordic pattern--there is always someone you forget until their card comes through the door!!!

      Oh I know, even after all of these years, there is always someone I miss. Mind you, since retiring th number of cards I send has halved.

      So pleased you like the jumper, this pattern is one of my favourites.
