Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Advent Countdown - Day 18

Day 18 of my 2018 Advent adventure.  Just one more week until the big day, how are your preparations coming along?

This is the first of two post today, this morning I should like to share with you the last outfit for my friend's adopted Elf on a Shelf.  You have already seen Elvin's other jumper and matching hat outfits - on Day 7 it was the red Scandinavian styled jumper, on Day 11 it was the blue jumper with the snowman motif and the Aran styled jumper was on Day 16.

This jumper is made of Double Knit yarn and the hat is made of soft 4 ply cotton.  The jumper pattern was designed by Helen Cox and is available from Ravelry.

We have a lovely photograph of Elvin the Elf modelling the Aran jumper he received a few days ago.

I cannot help thinking that Elvin has way too much fun.  What with the car he was running around in the other day, his own sleigh and now a fabulous swing.

I shall be here again this afternoon with something a little different, I hope you will be here too.

  1. Great to see Elvin wearing his Arran jumper, the incredible detail is even more evident. Today's jumper is very on trend and I love the festive colour combination x

    1. Elvin is definitely all set for Christmas Jumper Day in future - although Helen Cox does have some other elf patterns, including one with a tutu!
