Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

The Adventures of Two Little Elves

Many of you will recall that back in the summer I knitted several Christmas dresses and matching jumpers for my niece's Christmas Elves.  At the time I was asked by several people to share their adventures - I am not sure whether you wanted to see their new wardrobes in action or if you wanted to tap into all of the fun going on in my niece's house.

Well the elves arrived in their sleigh last night, talk about arriving in style ...

They carried a change of clothes in their bindle, which apparently my niece's little boy really loved.

A door magically appeared in one of their walls and the elves came through from the North Pole.  After they arrived the door vanished but it will reapear whenever the elves need to report back to HQ.

After arriving the two of them took time to put up a few decorations in her little boy's room, mind you they made a right mess on the floor ......

It looks like the two of them are right at home and loving their new clothes.  I think they may have bought a pet with them, I will try to find something out about him.

I cannot wait to see what the two of them get up to tonight.

  1. Love these two, what a couple of characters they are. Their matching robin outfits look fabulous and so cosy x

    1. My niece has such an imagination and a talent for making a whole lot of something out of nothing. I think her children are so lucky to have her.
