Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Date Night - Elf Style

When you were a child, did you ever wonder what your toys got up to when you were asleep?  I remember the first time I watched Toy Story, I realised that I was not the only one who imagined them getting up to all sorts when I was not looking.  But they would freeze everytime someone walked into a room or looked at them.

It appears that the toys in my niece's house all went to the movies last night, I wonder what they watched?  Perhaps it was Raymond Briggs' Father Christmas or The Snowman?

As you can see, they did not go without, fizzy drinks and snacks for all ...

..... and I cannot get over all of the Santa hats they are wearing.

I think that after the film they got out the X Box and had a game or to.  It is amazing they did not wake up all of the humans in the house.

    1. Did they leave a mess? I thought elves would help keep the house tidy. On the other hand I saw the mess they left after putting up the decorations. Ha ha.

    3. Thank you, I keep telling her that but she is very modest. What really amazes me is how she comes up with the ideas to make all the props, it is amazing whar she can make with a little Play Doh and a few lolly pop sticks.
