Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Paper Chains - Day 9

I have another festive dress to share with you today.  As you can see my glamorous assistant is modelling this fetching little number in blue and pink.

This is another pattern from the Julie Williams 'Seasonal Dresses' leaflet. This design is called 'Little Waves', but I think it looks a lot like the paper chains we had when I was a child.

I added a few baubles to complete the Christmas effect.

  1. This blue is so bright and cheery, like a clear blue winter sky when you know it's much colder outside than it looks, but you can't resist! Love the bling around the bottom, so sweet! Your gone fishing post made me giggle. happy weekend :)

    1. Hi Pamellia

We are having that kind of sky here at the moment. Very cold out and the weathermen have been talking snow but no sign of it. The forcast is much worse the further north you go with up to 20 cm in Scotland by tomorrow.

So pleased you enjoyed the big fish story.

Keep warm and have a fab weekend.

  2. Fabulous blue and I see exactly what you mean about the paperchains. I could still happily while away time making those. In Copenhagen it's all about making stars! The baubles are a lovely finishing touch x

    1. Hi How was Sweden? The snow has arrived here, it rained all night but nonetheless the snow is settling here and it is coming down quite heavy.

I remember those paper chains fondly but would not want to have them up these days - although I would enjoy making them too.
