Welcome
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Red Nordic Style Sweater
Once again I found myself getting low on red yarn, so I reverted to that old trick of mixing in another colour .... and just as well, I literally had only a few yards of red left when I had finished this jumper.
The pattern I used was Styecraft #4910 and I made up the white stripe design as I went, of course, matching the design on the back with the front.
I hope you have enjoyed my rush of red. I am looking forward to making something in another colour.

Thank you Carol. I confess that I had a lot of fun making up the stripes as I went along.

You are so clever. This is another stunning pattern. I Have come across a new take on red jumper and plan to send you the pattern, although I'm sure you could do it without one! X
ReplyDeleteMany thanks my friend. I am not sure I could make a jumper without the pattern .... and it helps to have a pattern when you get tired and holding it all in your head gets difficult.
DeleteHope you have a good week.

Such a cute thing for preschool! Does your niece like red? I have never been a fan of red but recently I have been working with it (baby headbands and such). It's not too bad !!
ReplyDeleteThank you, as the pre-school uniform is red, she does not have a lot of choice about wearing the colour - although the uniform is not compulsory, and you do not have to purchase it from a designated school outfitter, so the parents have a degree of flexibility as to style ie the winter uniform is white blouse, red outer top and grey skirt or trousers.
DeleteI should imagine that your baby headbands look stunning in red and very festive.
