Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Here's my Heart

I recently needed a quick anniversary card, so I raided my stash of ancient kit cards and came up with this.

Whilst I had the impression that the original designer intended this sheet to be for a Valentine card I felt that it made the perfect anniversary card.  Simple but stylish.

If my memory serves me right, the kit was made by Kanban, all I needed to add was some white card, ribbon and flat backed gems.

    1. Thank you Carol, I have problems getting the colours 'true' when I share my photos but this one really is that gorgeous rich colour.

I made this card for my hubby and I am so pleased with it, it is still sitting on the side. Te he!

    1. Oh Carol, you are such a sweetheart. Thank you.

I have less Facebook friends that I have blog followers, so I don't bother putting my makes on there as all of my friends know about my blog but are not really interested in crafting. I have always had a deep love of crafting, it started with making little things with my mum (we use to make Christmas presents for all of my aunts when I was young - and I still make some Christmas presents every year). Then I took up cross stitching when I was first married - and it has never stopped since then. I have passed my passion on to one of my nieces - guess I know where my craft stash will be heading when I eventually die! Ha ha!

    1. My blog does seem to be awash with red at the moment - something of a Red Sea! And I am afraid that it hasn't finished yet, you will be seeing red for a few more days ....sorry.
