Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Working the Land

I am back this morning with another one of my CAS cards featuring a masculine image from Delicious Doodles.

I do love the plow or draft horses, especially the Shires, Suffolk Punch, Clydesdales and the Percherons.  However, I do not know the breeds well enough to know which this is, he seems to be making very light work of plowing this field.

This image is called 'Working the Land'. I coloured it with F&C polychromos pencils and mounted it on gold mirri and some Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler card.  The backing paper is also from Stampin' Up.   I made the sentiment on my PC and the card candy is from Craftwork Cards.

A very quick reminder about the current Crafty Boots Challenge - 'Masculine Cards'.

Have a great day.

    1. Thank you Pamellia, it is one of my favourite images. My husband adores horses and at one time we regularly visited the local heavy horse stables - that is how I got to know the names of the breeds.
