Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Vintage Motorcycle

Back today with another masculine card.  You have probably worked out by now that I am a bit of a fan of Delicious Doodles vintage images, that is because they really work so well for male cards.

This image is called Vintage Norton Motorcycle, I have taken great liberties with the colours I used for the paintwork.  My internet searching for the colours suitable for this time period showed this model in WWII khaki, so I used my imagination when I got my F&C polychomos pencils out and went for a Kill Bill look.  I mounted the image on gold mirri and some yellow SU paper.

The backing papers are from Studio Calico and the cogs are a recent purchase, they are made of metal and treated to look bronze.  The rivets are, of course, card candy from Craftwork Cards and I made the sentiment on the computer.

There is still time for you to enter your masculine cards in this Crafty Boots Challenge.

  1. The metals, colors, and image go so well together. I don't know how you do so well in this category! I would've added some glitter by now haha ;) Nice card for sure!

    1. To be honest, I have always been really awful when it comes to male cards. That is until I discovered Delicious Doodles. They are known for their Goth images but they also produce these stunning views, wonderful vintage vehicles and flowers.
