Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Vintage Truck

Friday already, the weekend is very nearly here.  I have a quick post today to share another of my masculine cards, as you will know if you have been here any time over the past week or so, the current theme at Crafty Boots Challenges is 'Masculine Cards'.

I have another of Delicious Doodles vintage range today, I am sure you can see why I like this range so much, they are just perfect for men.

Today's image is called Vintage Truck,   Much as yesterdays image, I coloured the truck with my F&C polychromos pencils and then I mounted it on gold mirri and orange card.  The backing papers are all from Studio Calaco and I printed the sentiment on my computer.

One of the things I find difficult with male cards is how to embellish them, you cannot really use lace, or gems, or flowers, or ribbon so what do you use?  I was quite impressed with the new cogs I used yesterday on the Vintage Motorcycle card, so I decided to use them again today.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Hi Pamellia

Thank you, I have never really given it a lot of thought but I do have quite a lot of digi images plus two shelves full of CDs and quite an extensive collection of rubber stamps going back about 30 years. Lol!

  3. This image conjures up all sorts of memories of the coalman. The truck looked exactly like this. You have totally nailed the man card with your inspired designs. xx
