Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Back to Nature

Half way through the week already, not long now until the weekend.

Today I have another one of my Design Team cards for the current Crafty Boots Challenge to show you.  The theme of the challenge is 'Summer Time'.

This lovely Saturated Canary image is actually called 'Springtime', but around here it is highly unlikely that you could sit in a meadow full of daisies and forget-me-nots in spring, the grass would be far too wet!  So, I have saved this image for our summer time challenge.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then mounted it on gold mirri and red card.  The backing paper is from Stampin' Up, whilst the butterfly die is by Memory Box.  The lace and pearl trim are both from Wild Orchid Crafts  and the Card Candy from Craftwork Cards.  The sentiment is from my stash.

There is still plenty of time for you to enter this Crafty Boots Challenge.

Good luck.

    1. Thank you Pamellia. My colouring is getting better with practice but I just do not have your amazing talent - no matter how much I practice.

    1. Thank you, my Promarkers are getting old and a lot of them are drying out. I need to decide whether to invest is replacements or switch to pencils, I just cannot make up my mind.

    3. I suspect that is what I shall do because some images seem to suit pencils and others markers!

    1. Thank you, I considered trying to make the card candy look like the Chinese lanterns, but I am sure I would mess it up. Lol!
