Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Return to the Highlands

When I was colouring some images for the previous challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges, I accidentally coloured this one twice. I was halfway through colouring it before I realised my mistake.

I did not want to waste my hard work, so here it is again in a slightly different setting.  As you no doubt remember, it is from Delicious Doodles and is called 'Scottish Castle and Gardens'. After colouring it with F&C polychromos pencils, I mounted it on some Night if Navy and white card.  I then embossed some more of the Night of Navy card and used it to cover the front of an A5 card.  The ribbon, sentiment and gems are all from my stash.

Tomorrow sees the start of a brand new challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges, so don't forget to check it out.

  1. What a fabulous image Dionne, good enough to use twice I think! lol. Love the rich greens, and the deep blue background is just amazing with the pop of the clean ribbon! hugs :)

    1. Thank you, I actually think this one turned out better than the other. However, my mistake was easily done. I was colouring a small pile of Delicious Doodle scenes and I coloured all the skies and then the greens and it was quite a while before I realised I had the duplicate. Ha ha!
