Welcome
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Harbour Scene
I use a lot of ribbon on my cards so I thought I would do something a little different and raid my lace stash for a change.
This delightful image is from Delicious Doodles, it is called 'Harbour Scene', would be suitable for most men and even quite a few women. After colouring it with F&C polychromos pencils, I mounted it on some red and white card. I then embossed some more of the red card and used it to cover the front of an A5 card. The anchor and yacht charms are from my stash, as was the lace. The sentiment was from Kanban Crafts.
Don't forget to enter your project into the Crafty Boots challenge.

Love it Dionne. The embossing pattern fits very well and that image is amazing!! Love the strip of lace, a wonderful touch of softness. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Pamellia. I think I am addicted to this Delicious Doodles range and my new pencils. I may need to seek help.

More stunning colouring. That red is fab and the lace against is gorgeous. Cute little charms too. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisette, the Real Red card is a new acquisition (I also bought the matching ink pad), it's a great colour and I can't believe I never bought it before. I am glad you mentioned the lace, I find lace so hard to attach to the card - especially the thick vintage style lace like this one.
