Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Dog Fight

A quick reminder that the current challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges is 'Something Old, Something New'.

I have made another card using up another digital stamp which I have had for a while but not had the opportunity to use before now.

This image is from Delicious Doodles, I only discovered Teri Sherman's art last year and initially thought that the death heads and goth girls were not for me as I did not know who I would send them to.  Then I discovered the rest of her artwork, which is amazing, her views of the Scottish Highlands are stunning.

This image is called 'Vintage Spitfire', which I coloured with F&C polychromos pencils and mounted it on some brown pearlised card and some orange card from my stash. The backing paper and boarder are from Studio Calico. The Craftwork Cards sentiment and little plane charm  are from my stash.

Don't forget to enter your project into the Crafty Boots challenge.

  1. This is fabulous Dionne! Another great image, I think I am going to have to check out this Delicious Doodles (the name really doesn't seem to match the style of the images, does it?) haha! The orange is great and I love the little charm! hugs :)

    1. Thank you Pamellia. As you can see, as well as the lovely highland views, Teri Sherman has quite a few images perfect for men - and one of these days I am going to buy a few of her goth images, just for the fun of it.

      Have a great weekend.

    1. The papers from my Christmas present from Steph have worked incredibly well with the cards I made for this challenge. Who would have thought that orange and pink would make good camouflage?

      xx
