Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Sylvan Corner

I'm still trying to catch up with my posting, here is another of the cards I made for the recent Black and Crafty Boots White Challenge.

This card features another of my new Memory Box dies - the Sylvan Corner.

I started with a sheet of textured card and applied a light dusting of black ink around the edges.  Then I cut the corner die from a sheet of black pearlised card and placed it in one corner, I used a black fine line pen to add an outline in the opposite corner.

I had a few tiny dies left over from another project and I popped these on the card to add balance.  I mounted the card on some more black pearlised card before attaching it to the card blank.  The sentiment is from Kanban Craft.

Have a good day and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

  1. Wow Dionne, this is beautiful! I love the black and white, so elegant and that butterfly corner is so fanciful, wowsers! The different textured papers really make a subtle variance that works so well!! Nice!! hugs :)

    1. I seem to be stuck in a time slip, around two challenges in the past. At the moment it is Black and White, it will probably be Stars and Stripes next week.

  5. Very elegant. This is the type of design that would work well for sympathy cards as well, they're always so hard to do...

    1. Thank you Pia. Obviously great minds think alike, I have used a very similar design for a sympathy card.
