Cross Stitch, knitting, crochet, dressmaking, card making, scrapbook and wedding stationery.
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

A very quick post this morning to remind you all that the theme of the current Crafty Boots Challenge is 'Winter Wonderland'.
There was a time when I spent all of my spare time cross stitching but these days the hands and eyesight are not what the use to be and I cannot manage the big projects of the past. However, this was a relatively quick project.
I found the design in an old cross stitch magazine. I stitched in on a linen using DMC threads. I think it is a stunning landscape and makes an amazing winter wonderland.
Oh wow! How long did this take. It looks fabulous, a gorgeous design and so well executed. xxReplyDelete
To be honest, this was a fairly easy one as vast expanse of white is canvass, so I only did the trees and sky. But is looks so effective, doesn't it? All down to the designer.Delete
Yipes!!! And by yipes, I mean HOLY COW!! You are amazing, I can't believe you cross stitch too! Is there anything you can't do Dionne?? This is amazing, I just love it! big new years hugs :)ReplyDelete
