Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Under the Tree

Regular visitors to this space cannot fail to have noticed two things:

i) The current Crafty Boots Challenge is Christmas, and

ii) I am way behind with my Christmas cards again this year (actually I think I am even more behind than last year, if that were at all possible).

I, therefore, have another Christmas card to share with you today.

This image is one of my vintage rubber stamps and a particular favourite of mine as I have a massive soft spot for Teddy Bears.

After colouring the image with Promarkers I mounted it on blue glitter card.  The backing paper is from my stash, as is the snowflake charm.  The Christmas tree die is a Memory Box one and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

    1. Thank you, this card seems to have a little bit of all the things I love to use whilst card making.

  2. I don't know how you do it, or indeed have the patience, to colour in such detailed images so beautifully. Love how you have used the die cut and snowflake to compliment this design. Shall we start our cards in January next year??!! xx

    1. The areas on the image were so small there was not a lot of opportunity to shade the colours but nonetheless I quite enjoyed doing this one.

I think you and I should set up our own monthly Christmas Card Challenge - mind you, that would only give us 12 cards, we need a few more than that. xx

    1. One of my favourite images but it takes an age to colour, not one for speed card making!
