Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Follow the Star

Welcome.

Time is passing so very quickly at the moment. I suppose it is because I am panicking over how rapidly Christmas is approaching and how much I still hove to do.

For instance, I keep finding excuses for not getting on with my Christmas cards.  I think the only way I am going to get them done now is to keep them CAS and to start making them in batches.

So here we go ................................

This Stampin' Up stamp is called 'Come to Bethlehem'.  I stamped it in a shade of ink called Midnight Muse and then layered it in silver miri and a matching shade of card.  I love this colour but it is no longer available.  I made the sentiment from another Stampin' Up stamp set.

The current theme at Crafty Boots Challenges is 'Star' and as you can see this stamp has a lovely star image.  I tried to glitter it up and make more of a feature of it, but my star ended up looking more like a blob, so I decided to go for a more classically simple look.

There are three fabulous guest designers at Crafty Boots Challenges this week, please take the time to look at their wonderful projects.

I have made four of these cards so far, I am aiming to make at least ten ..... I suppose I had better get back to it..

  1. Oh this is so stylish - the colour, the simplicity of the image and the glimpses of silver all add up to one great card. xx
