Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Red Jumper for a Little Girl

I hope you are well today?  We are almost done with January already, time flies when you are kept busy.

I have a stunning scarlet coloured jumper to share with you.  I made it almost a year ago in order to keep my young niece warm.  Apologies for the photograph, the flash must have bounced back off the yarn - I think we established some time ago that I am a rubbish photographer.

The pattern is Stylecraft 4910, made in fabulous King Cole Cherish Double Knit.

Take care.

  1. I did think wow that is red until I read about your flash lol-I never use the flash on my phone I find I get a good pic-well most of the time putting my card on white card background in front of a window on a chair with me facing the window-not sure if that will help with a camera as I only have my phone

    1. Hi Carol, I hope everyone is well?

I think that modern mobile phones take amazing photographs, unfortunately, I do not have one so I use a proper camera and it automatically turns on it's flash as this time of year the room is quite gloomy.

      Have a great weekend.

    3. I have a very simple mobile - just calls and texts and then half the time I cannot even get a signal with it, it is next to useless! I bought this fancy camera a few years ago but, if I am honest, I really do not know how to use it. I got this make and model because other people I know have it and they take wonderful wildlife and scenic photos with it. It is too technical for me, I would be better off with a fancy phone (even though I would still only use it for calls and texts .... and my craft photos).
